7 Amazon Essentials for Every Frequent Traveler
Being an Amazon Prime member, I have gotten so comfortable with ordering items and having them delivered directly to my door, as opposed to going out and shopping at physical stores. I have come to realize that I am not alone when it comes to taking advantage of the famed free 2-day shipping perk!
As a recurrent traveler who socializes with many others who frequent the skies, I wanted to share some travel essentials that you can secure from Amazon.
1. Electronics Accessories Organizer
Do you just throw all of your cords, chargers, and other electronics accessories in your book bag or carry on and have to dig through the bag every time you need a particular item? This was me, up until last month. I purchased this ButterFox Universal Electronics Accessories Travel Organizer and it has made my life a lot easier. I actually keep it stocked while at home, as well, so that I can quickly grab it and go, when I plan on trekking somewhere and being away from home for extended periods of time.
2. Packing Cubes
Many travelers live by packing cubes. Given that there are baggage fees for most airlines, many people have joined #TeamCarryon to save money. In order to maximize the amount stuffed into a carryon bag, one has to be extremely efficient and strategic. It's an art. There are many options for packing cubes, but here is my favorite set.
3. Universal Charger & Adapter
For those that travel internationally, especially for the first time, it is very common to forget that you will need an adaptor to plug in your items. Again, there are many options in your local drug stores, electronics stores, or super stores such as Wal-Mart, but Amazon provides the biggest inventory of universal chargers and adaptors to choose from.
4. A Flat...Fanny Pack...
Admittedly, I do not own one of these fanny packs, however, I have a few friends who swear by them. It's ideal for running, biking, hiking, walking, a night on the town, or general tourist activities, to name a few! Made for any activity where you want some essentials with you, but don't want to be weighed down. You know exactly where important items are and can keep them accessible without having to rummage through a purse, or backpack.
5. Kindle Fire
For those who love to read or play games while on trips, or for those who have a tendency to misplace, break or lose things, I highly suggest buying a Fire or something comparable. It is lightweight and inexpensive. If it gets broken, lost or stolen it will be a lot less painful than if something just as tragic happened to an iPad or other pricy tablets.
6. Travel Bottles
How many people have mourned the loss or their valuable creams, scents, and potions while going through the TSA Security Checkpoint at the airports, and realizing they packed a liquid in their carryon that exceeded the allowable amount? Sometimes there just aren't "travel sizes" for your favorite toiletries, and this is why travel bottles have become an essential for many. Some suggest GoToob, but there are many other cheaper options available on Amazon.
7. Eyefi Mobi Wireless Memory Card
Whether people want to admit it or not, for many, posting vacation or travel pictures is half the fun! For travelers who take photos with actual cameras, however, it can be a hassle to have to upload photos onto a computer and then transfer them to a mobile device before posting on platforms such as Instagram.
The Eyefi allows you to do the following:
- Transfer photos from your camera to your iPhone, iPad, Kindle, Android or laptop as you take them
- Organize, sync and share photos through Eyefi Cloud to view on any web-enabled device
Note: Because you are able to transfer photos so easily to other devices, there really isn't a need to get a wireless memory card with a lot of GBs. This is, of course, unless you plan on taking an astronomical amount of photos before transferring.
What are some of your travel essentials? What is missing from this list?
